Bizlsy About Us

According to a Gallup.com’ s State of the American Workplace Report, 70% of US Workers are not engaged. Gallup defines not engaged employees as those who are essentially “checked out”. They’re sleepwalking through their workday, putting in time – but not energy or passion into their work.

This study was conducted from 2010 to 2012 and I confidently count myself as part of that 70%. There hasn’t been a day in the last 15 years that I haven’t prayed, plotted and planned to figure out a way to become independently wealthy. Some of that time during the sleepwalking I am dreaming about walking into my bosses office and say “SUCK IT, I’M OUT!”

I’ve spent much of my free time trying to figure out what would be the best business for me to start and admittedly, I’ve tried several. So many that some of my friends call me when they think of a business idea. Although I hate to admit it, I’ve tried it and I know the pros, cons, pitfalls and successes. It’s sad but its true.

I have literally done just about as much research as any human being can or should do to prepare and plan for a owning and running my own business. I’ve tried all the MLM, get rich quick schemes I could physically stand. Taken enough classes to have PHD in “Startups”. Still to this day I have only successfully started one business.

Yes, I did it! I started a Web Design Company. I had clients and I was making money. But where was all this happiness and success people rave about. On top of that I was working even more hours than before and still felt like I was reporting to someone, but now they were even more demanding and it was never ending.

So what do I do now? What’s next? Re-define my view of success and help others do the same! This site is just part of that next step, chronicling my adventures into what I want to call independent wealth. I am hoping that others will join in and share their experience and someone will benefit from the information. But mostly I want to and I want others to be able to use this as a guide to starting a business that will change their lives.

What makes this different from all the other sites that tell you how to start this or that online, honestly I don’t know. I am just providing information that I know worked for me and hope that it will help others in process. So please, read, comment and provide recommendations or your own personal stories of small business bust or bliss!
